Changelog
All notable changes to the TBG rentals tools. Dates are when the change went live at tbg.jarre.tt.
1.2.0 — 2026-10-31
From Mary Ann's second round of feedback.
- Maps: SAHBA Pavilion no longer shows the old entrance or the admission-booth label, the strip along the west side is a sidewalk, the corner potted plants are fixed, and the "lawn" label is gone. Education Building is 25 × 22 ft. Reception Garden gazebo lines up with the potted-rose courtyard and the stage. Glassed porch has a fireplace. Founder's Room conference table starts turned along the room.
- Chair rows: 10 rows of 12 with a 4 ft center aisle by default (aisle can be turned off), up to 150 chairs per block.
- New Arrow item for entrances and flow, with an optional label and adjustable length.
- Sweetheart table is now a 4 ft rectangle (new "4' sweetheart" in the palette, two chairs on one side). The round sweetheart is gone; old layouts that had one open with the rectangle instead.
- View menu: show or hide chairs, table numbers, room names and labels, the grid; "Lock zoom" stops accidental zooming. These apply to the printout too.
- Print dialog: choose what the map shows, print the map only (no summary beside it), print a blank write-in sheet for any venue, and add an event details page as page 2 (contacts, timeline, setup counts, notes, sign-off). A few more event fields feed it: end/strike time, caterer, rentals, linens.
- Works offline: the online planner and the blank PDFs are cached after the first visit, and on an iPad or iPhone it can be added to the Home Screen like an app. The planner tells you when a newer version is available.
- Offline download copy: explains that saved layouts live per copy, and Open ▾ → Export all layouts / Open file… moves them between the website and a copy.
- iPad and phone: the item list and the details panel open as drawers, less-used buttons move into a ⋯ menu, two-finger pinch zooms and pans, bigger touch targets.
1.1.0 — 2026-09-12
From Mary Ann's first round of feedback.
- Porter Hall map: patio and Reception Garden drawn as one space; the fountain is now labeled as the stage / altar; the west wing is the executive offices (not rentable); kitchen sits flush against the entry with a back door and its garden door; door from the entry into the offices; table storage opens from the entry and its label is readable.
- Tables: one palette entry per physical size. A new "Use" dropdown on each table sets what it is for (dining, head table, sweetheart, buffet, bar, appetizers, dessert, cake, gifts, water, sign-in, DJ, or a typed label). Buffet and bar are 6 ft banquets by default.
- Chairs on round and oval tables can be any number, not just a fixed list.
- Piano added to the palette (baby grand, 5 × 6 ft).
- Printing: the sheet now sizes itself to the printer's page so the map is centered on any margins; the default print area is the whole event area.
- Scrolling moves the map instead of zooming; zoom with the + / − buttons, Ctrl/Cmd+scroll, or a pinch.
- Version number and date shown in the app header, help panel and print footer. This changelog and a single-file download were added to the tools page.
- Fixes: tables inside a room are no longer flagged as sitting on a building; Safari no longer asks whether the page may print on the second print; blank sheets have write-in lines instead of zero counts and a print date.
1.0.0 — 2026-09-04
- First version: scaled base maps for Porter Hall, Reception Garden, Education Building, Founder's Room, Xeriscape Garden and SAHBA Pavilion; drag-and-drop tables and chairs; table numbering; chair counts; overlap and no-go warnings; save/load in the browser or as a file; letter-landscape setup sheet with a summary for the crew and caterer.
